I was supposed to work at the Hotel Indigo-Riverside but the manager "fired" me (via email) 12 hours before I was supposed to start work. Work at Rite-Aid has been ok, sometimes the customers can be bitches. I've seen a lot of Weston ppl shop there, including:

Emily Brewer
Leah Levitte
Lesley Freeman
Mr. Minigan
Quinton Kappel
Ginny Nolan
"DJ" Whit Chapman
Reed Chapman
Brooke Warner (she bought and put on deoderant in the store)
Alyssa Melignano
Mrs. Cohen

I visited Ginny at Dairy Queen the other day during my break (she works there).

Saturday, June 07, 2008

I am now a high school graduate

Here were some of the highlights of the overnight trip

1) My trying to eat a lobster.

2) Taking lots of goofy pictures. They are all on facebook

2) Grinding

3) This is my favorite moment. We went to a small theatre to watch the WHS class of 2008 DVD. This picture of Olivia shows up when the DVD started showing really old pictures. I had taken that picture during the eighth grade washington DC trip, and put the picture on facebook and kept it on facebook, even though Olivia disliked the picture. I think its a cute picture, and Katie Valovcin probably liked it as well. Well, I guess it all paid off in the end. Olivia said she would "kill me"

Tuesday, June 03, 2008

I'm so unbelievably stressed right now about my senior recital. I just had a lesson, and there's so much musical/technical work that needs to be done in the next week or so (like intonation stuff and sound quality). Liz's recital last year surprisingly had a lot of errors, considering that she played perfectly in orchestra...
End of YPO

I just played in my final YPO concert ever, and thus the my final orchestra concert of my high school career. The concert was awesome, and I'm really going to miss YPO. Being able to play with such professsional and high achieving students once a week has really inspired me to perform better and has really changed my approach to music. I am going to miss Benjamin Zander. He is just an incredible man and musician and I've learned so much from him (also enjoyed his jokes during rehearsal)... YPO has really added something special to my life during this past year I've played in it, and I'm really sad that I won't be able to play with in it ever again... sniff sniff
Fun Night

That was a really Senior Banquet... I spent a lot of the time trying to regain possession of my camera from Molly Hermann and Olivia, and who took a lot of pictures, most of which I put up on facebook. We also discussed some inappropriate things, lol.

I had my job interview today... It went pretty well, I suppose. I just hope I don't mess up someone's coffee when I'm working, lol.

EDIT: Here are some quotes from that night (identities anonymous, hehe)

"Olivia, once Michael Jackson Diggs gets over here, you do your thing"

"Olivia, flash to get Michael Jackson Diggs over here"

"Where the fuck is Molly?"

"Sarahee and I won't fit in the same picture"

"Alan, what size condoms do you wear?"

"do you prefer giving or receiving?"

"I am not a slut!"

This was a convo b/w me and Kia

"So Alan, I'm a fox now?"
"Nope, you're a coyote"
"I'm a coyote?" It's just like foreplay" - Benjamin Zander

"What
are you waiting for? The second Coming???!!!" -Camille Reid, in
response to Mr. Bell's lethargic handling of our AP European history
exam materials

"These people are so muscle bound that they can't
move, and they certainly can't make love" - Benjamin Zander, talking

My. David Bell was proctoring and he took a long time to read the directions and whatnot. Camille Reid then shouted at him, saying "What are you waiting for, the second coming?" and everyone laughed..

The multiple choice was pretty hard, considering how Mrs. Cottle did not prepare us adequately for any part of the exam. After the multiple choice, Mrs. Shea (proctor at the time after Mr. Bell left) let us attend the end of the coutdown, so we had a 20 minute break.

The Free Response was pretty bad too. People like Brooke Warner and Michela Hattabaugh were drawing on their essays (Brooke drew picture of a bearded guy which she showed me as I was going to the bathroom and Michela drew a picture of a beardless man instead). So, as I was going to the bathroom during the middle of the exam, Marjie Hochberger comes out and tells me "I just finished putting up make-up for my friends prom that I'm going to immediately after this". After I come back to the classroom, people actually started silently chatting during the exam. When Mr. Escobar came in, Brooke immediately showed him her picture, and I don't think MR. Escobar was pretty happy. Brooke also asked Mr. Escobar "Can I read my magazine now?", to which Mr. Escobar replied "Please be silent, there are actually people who take this test seriously".

At the end of the test, Mr. Escobar said "You guys are letting down yourselves, your teachers, and this school by not even trying on this exam. I jsut submitted a form to US News Report asking what scores kids get on the exams. You guys are doing irreperable damage to this school, and should be ashamed. That's all I have to say, and you can get your phones on the way out". Towards the end of his speech, Mr. Escobar's voice started to shake and I could sense he was able to cry.

All in all, not a very successful test, but it was different and quite amusing environment in which I had to take the test, which is not bad at all (considering I probably didn't do so well).

Sunday, May 04, 2008

I hope I made the right decision to go to Tufts over Georgetown if I want to be a dentist...
Monday, April 28, 2008

Wow

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080428/ap_on_re_eu/austria_captive_daughter
